Travel Buddy #2 – Lee

I met Lee in Melaka and he’d been there a while. He took us on a sunset bicycle tour of town out to the floating mosque and took Min and I to a Sikh temple for breakfast.

Lee is from the UK, has two bad knees, and sews second-hand trousers into bags which he sells to tourists to raise money for two educational programmes in Indonesia. He’s spent the better part of 3 years now in Malaysia and Indonesia.

I wrote about Lee and his ‘Bags for Kids‘ project on my other blog – – which showcases the stories of people who are doing something kind and inspiring in their communities. Check it out.
